Stainless Steel 90Deg LR Steel Elbow Bend

Industrial Copper Nickel Elbow

This series of industrial-grade copper-nickel elbows is manufactured in strict compliance with international standards, offering two primary copper-nickel alloy options: 90/10 (C70600) and 70/30 (C71500) to address varying levels of corrosive environments. Products encompass multiple bend angles, including 45°, 90°, and 180°, primarily three industrial standard connection methods: butt welding, socket welding, and threaded connections, ensuring reliable integration with piping systems. Additionally, we provide a full range of wall thickness specifications from standard to heavy-wall grades. Through proven forging and casting processes, we comprehensively meet the stringent requirements for pipe fittings in high-pressure, highly corrosive conditions across marine, power generation, and chemical processing applications.

This comprehensive table provides complete technical data for engineering design, procurement, and quality verification of copper-nickel elbows for critical service applications across marine, offshore, chemical processing, and power generation industries.

Classification by Alloy Composition and Material Standards

90/10 CuNi (UNS C70600): As the most widely used seawater piping material, it exhibits outstanding corrosion and erosion resistance in flowing seawater while providing effective anti-fouling properties. It is an economical and efficient choice for marine vessels, power plants, and similar systems.

70/30 CuNi (UNS C71500): Building upon C70600, its higher nickel content yields enhanced mechanical properties and corrosion resistance in more demanding environments (e.g., high-velocity, sand-laden seawater). It is the preferred choice for high-end applications such as offshore platforms and critical heat exchangers.

Classification by Manufacturing Process and Product Form

This classification pertains to the product's microstructure, mechanical properties, and pressure-bearing capacity.

Forged/Extruded Elbows: Produced through plastic deformation processes, these features have continuous metal flow lines and a dense microstructure. Consequently, they exhibit superior impact toughness, fatigue strength, and more uniform wall thickness distribution, making them the preferred choice for high-pressure, high-vibration, or alternating load conditions. Standards typically follow ASTM B466.

Cast Elbows: Suitable for manufacturing complex geometries, non-standard wall thicknesses, or large diameters, offering cost-effectiveness. Performance depends on strict quality control, with standards typically following ASTM B584.

Classification by Bend Angle to Center Radius Ratio

This core geometric classification determines the functionality of pipeline routing.

90° Elbow: Enables vertical pipeline turns, the most common type.

45° Elbow: Enables diagonal pipeline turns with lower fluid resistance and pressure drop than 90° elbows.

180° Elbow (U-Bend): Used for complete U-shaped turns in pipeline systems.

Long-radius elbows: Center radius is 1.5 times the nominal diameter, offering low fluid resistance and pressure drop, making them the preferred choice.

Short-radius elbows: Center radius equals the nominal diameter, suitable for installations with limited space, but with higher fluid resistance.

Classification by Connection Method

This is the key design for interfacing with the piping system.

Weld-end elbows: Form permanent connections via beveled welds with pipes, offering the highest joint strength, sealing integrity, and pressure-bearing capacity. Widely used in all high-temperature, high-pressure, and demanding conditions.

Socket-weld elbows: Form angular weld connections by inserting pipes into sockets, simplifying alignment during installation. Suitable for small-diameter, high-pressure piping systems.

Threaded elbows: Feature threaded connections for easy installation and disassembly, suitable for low-pressure applications, non-hot-work environments, or locations requiring periodic maintenance.

Classification by Wall Thickness Grade and Specification Standards

This classification directly relates to the product's pressure-bearing capacity.

Standard Grade: Examples include Sch 40 / STD, meeting conventional pressure requirements.

Heavy-Duty Grade: e.g., Sch 80 / XS, suitable for systems with higher working pressures.

Extra-Heavy-Duty Grade: e.g., Sch 160 / XXS, used in extremely high-pressure or high-abrasion environments.

Classification by Special Types

Reducing Elbows: Change pipe direction while transitioning between different pipe diameters.

Elbows with Straight Pipe Sections: Feature straight pipe sections at both ends, facilitating welding and system installation.
